Adam loves to sing this song:
- Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat
- Please put a penny in the old man's hat
- If you haven't got a penny, a half penny will do.
- If you haven't got a half penny, then God bless you!
Sometimes Adam and Erik will substitute different words into the song in the place of penny. For example “chicken”. This was Erik’s idea I believe. Try singing the song with chicken in it instead of penny. It is pretty funny!
Another of their variations goes like this:
- Christmas is coming, and Santa’s getting fat
- Please put a cookie in the old man's hat
- If you haven't got a cookie, a half cookie will do.
- If you haven't got a half cookie, then God bless you!
Now some pictures from December…
Adam’s pilgrim hat from preschool.
And the gingerbread house we made…also from a preschool activity.
Getting costumes ready for our church Nativity play. Don’t you know shepherds had cell phones:)
Tyler the shepherd. This is really Erik’s costume, but Tyler wanted to wear it too.
Adam is a sheep…baaaaa!
On the night of the Christmas party and play. Two shepherds and a sheep.
Here is the stable for the play…Alex made it out of cardboard from piano boxes. It was pretty awesome!
Erik with all the other shepherds.
The shepherds listening to the angel.
You can see Erik on the far left, and Adam’s pretty easy to spot in his sheep ears and white fluffy outfit :)
