Zoo Fun

2010-04-07 005

Last week we went to the Zoo while my family was visiting. My family also took Erik and Adam to the Sonora Desert Museum, but I don’t have any pictures of that.

We saw lots of animals up close, including some that have usually been hiding on our previous visits…like the polar bears.

It was very fun to see then swimming and moving around!

Adam was being grumpy in this picture and wouldn’t look at me or smile. Adam grumpy? No, who has every heard of such a thing! Hehe

But really, everyone was quite well behaved on this outing. I didn’t fell like the kids were constantly running off and hard to keep track of like I did last year at the Zoo.

I don’t know if Tyler noticed the animals much but he was very content most of the time, and enjoyed being outside.

Adam LOVES to sit on Uncle Jeremy’s shoulders, and play with him constantly. Thanks for being so patient with the kids Jeremy! They really love you :)

Easter

2010-04-04 001

We had a fun Easter with my family visiting this past week.

2010-04-04 003

The boys got to find eggs in the backyard.

2010-04-04 004

And then eat chocolate!

2010-04-04 007

2010-04-04 009

I didn’t get that many pictures of Erik and Adam because they were running around outside, and then making giant chocolate messes (mainly Adam). So in the general chaos of all of that, not many pictures got taken.

So then to make up for that I guess, I sat the baby on the couch and took tons of pictures of him :)

Here’s Tyler’s first Easter…

Lots of pictures…

2010-04-02 001

Sometimes I put Tyler in his seat in the doorway to the bathroom when I am brushing someone’s teeth or something. The other day, Erik and Adam decided to sit next to him on each side. A doorway full of brothers! Cute!

2010-04-02 002

They have such funny faces ;)

2010-04-02 005

then pick up the binky…insert in mouth…

2010-04-02 006

and suck.

Ahh, the joy of learning how to use ones hands for useful tasks!

2010-03-26 001

Next, some bath pictures.

Erik always says that he will go underwater with the mask…but he never really does. He just barely puts the front of the mask in the water…and then he somehow manages to open his mouth and suck water in, and start coughing. We tell him to keep his mouth shut…but he doesn’t get it. Those swimming lessons last summer didn’t do too much. Oh well.

2010-03-26 010

I trimmed a few of Tyler’s hairs that stuck up on top and then were so long that they curved back over. So now all his sticking-up hair is about the same length. These are the after pics.

and now back to after…

2010-03-26 018

come on mom, enough already with the pictures!

2010-03-26 028

This was just cute… I realize this caption could apply to the picture above or below, so really, take your pick.

Of course Adam had to have a turn in the basket too :)

2010-03-26 049

This is the best I could do getting a picture of Tyler’s two teeth. It’s rather hard to do.

2010-03-30 014

Erik got an award at school for being the “Souring Eagle of the Quarter” in his class. Each teacher picked one student out of their class, and then they all got their awards at an assembly. We are very happy that Erik is doing so well at school!

This is how I found Erik sleeping the other night!

Pouting

2010-02-18 002 (2)

Both Erik and Adam are very good at pouting. I managed to get pictures of both of them with their pouty faces. Erik did start smiling a little because I took his picture…it was more pouty a few seconds before this.

Adam does a pouty face too many times each day to count. He will do it just to get me to make a frowny face at him…and then I smile, and then he usually smiles too. Then he repeats this whole process several times. It’s cute, except that he does it so often, so it gets rather old. He pouts about everything that doesn’t go his way, and about nothing at all.

2010-03-26 039

He especially likes to pout while eating…even when he asked for the item that is currently in front of him. Sometimes he also looks up while employing the pouty look. Some sort of attempt at puppy dog eyes perhaps. But it looks more like his eyes are rolling back in his head. Silly boy!

Three little monkeys…

2010-03-08 013

Jumping on the bed…

2010-03-08 005

Ok, only two of the monkeys know how to jump, but you get the idea :)

2010-03-08 002

I think this picture is so funny because Tyler’s head looks bigger than Adam’s. Of course this only appears to be the case as Tyler is in front of Adam and Erik, and therefore closer to the camera. Really, I do not have a 30 lb baby!! Only 18 lbs and some various ounces…really!

2010-03-08 009

And then there’s this face ;)

If you listen closely you can hear Erik singing his "own version" of the 5 little monkeys. He likes to make up his own little songs a lot :)
