A week ago, Alex and Erik went to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. They got to see lots of cool rocks, crystals, fossils, and stuff! Erik got to pick out some rocks to buy.
Erik loves his shiny polished rocks, and so does Adam. He was so excited to see what Erik had when they got home. Adam wanted to hold all the rocks too!
That same Saturday, Adam and I played outside for a long time while Alex and Erik were gone.
Adam was having so much fun climbing up...
and up...
and sliding down...over and over!
It was just perfect weather outside, and Adam was so happy and quiet! No one to fight with, and outside with lots of things to explore! I had fun watching the way he was so interested in this or that (a rock, a leaf, the pea gravel, sand, a truck, the swing, etc.) It's interesting how toddlers never really get bored outside. Their attention just goes from one thing to the next naturally...sometimes staying with one thing for a long time (like climbing and going down the slide), and sometimes not. Anyway, we had a nice time outside, and I convinced him to go in by offering him a bath, so we didn't even have a screaming fit over going inside! Excellent :)
